Nadiah Christensen - International Women's Day Speak - Business Women's Network

Nadiah Christensen

Tune to the Moon
Nadiah Christensen is a designer based on Gundungurra land in the Southern Highlands of Australia. In 2006, Nadiah founded a bold men's intimate apparel business that quickly gained a cult following. During this time, she faced burnout and illness, prompting a deep questioning of the modern world's obsession with productivity and growth, and was inspired to create the first draft of her lunar diary. After selling her business in 2020, Nadiah shifted her focus to sustainable, zero-waste fashion, using 3D knitting machines to combat the environmental impact of mainstream fashion. Nadiah’s lunar diary, now in its third year, has become a cornerstone of her mission to help women reconnect with their natural cycles, leading to the creation of Casa Vulva, a new venture dedicated to empowering women to embrace their bodies, creativity, and healing.

Donna Jennings

Director, Bare Body Beauty
The story of Bare Body Beauty Co. began with a leap of faith. Ten years ago, Donna, a mum with a restless spirit, left the city for the quiet hills of Joadja in the Southern Highlands. Starting over wasn’t easy—money was tight, and her once-trusted skincare products felt out of reach, packed with chemicals she no longer wanted on her skin. So, she turned to what she had—her kitchen and the land around her. Picking roses, lavender, coffee, and lemons, she crafted her first scrubs by hand, blending affordability with purity. What started as a personal passion soon gained traction, and by 2015, Bare Body Beauty Co. opened its first store in Berrima. Today, the brand has expanded to Bowral, Byron Bay, and Beechworth, with over 250 handmade products, from silky face masks to bubbly bath treats—even a scrub for the family dog. Each item is crafted in their Southern Highlands warehouse, staying true to Donna’s vision: skincare that’s natural, affordable, and real. Step into a store, and you’re part of the story—welcomed with warmth, a cuppa, and a passion for honest self-care.
